Try for the smallest, most compact camera set up you can—it will give you an enormous freedom when working with visual design. When composing, observe the natural design of your subject matter as good composition is always harmonious with the design of the material being photographed.
In practical terms, composing with the Nikonos 15mm, I actually compose upside-down—I look over the top into the lens and can see the whole image in the lens dome, move my head out of the way, and advance the trigger!
